The Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally is an annual sailing event that spans four countries, two continents and over 250 yachts. The rally sets off from Darwin in Australia, provides passage and stopover in Bali, and then sails on for the final stop at Langkawi Island in Malaysia. From start to finish, the event will span more than five months.
This yachting event is the largest and most spectacular of its kind in Asia. It will cover a total distance of approximately 3,000 nautical miles. Participants will have the rare privilege of capturing the spirit of adventure as they surmount the challenges of journeying through a vast expanse of the seas.
All through the course of the voyage, pre-arranged locations will serve as stopovers where yachtsmen will be treated to cultural shows, dinners and yachting exhibitions. Port Dickson, for its part, has been included as one of the rally’s official stopovers and points of entry in Malaysia since 2006.
This year, the Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally had set off from Darwin last 26 July and is expected to call on the shores of Admiral Marina & Leisure Club on 26 November.
The Port Dickson stopover is jointly organized by the State Government of Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus, Tourism Malaysia, State Tourism Action Council, State Economy Planning Unit, Port Dickson Municipal Council and Admiral Marina & Leisure Club.
