On 25 May 2008, Admiral Marina & Leisure Club will host the Port Dickson International Half Marathon 2008. Three thousand local and international marathon runners are expected to compete this year. Apart from the half marathon, other events like the school children’s category, the 11-kilometer run, and the VIP Fun Run will fascinate participants and guests.

Sails will flutter this coming 26 July 2008 as Port Dickson will, yet again, serve as one of the official entry points for the biggest and most spectacular yacht rally in Asia. The Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally is an annual sailing event that spans four countries, two continents and hundreds of yachts. Participants to the event face 3,000 nautical miles of daring and unique adventure. Cultural shows, banquets and rare exhibits will be held to treat yachtsmen and spectators as well. read more...

In November this year, Port Dickson will again become one of the stopover ports for the Blue Water Yacht Rally. This bi-annual yachting event sails off from and ends in Gibraltar. The yachts, numbering thirty-three in all, will circumnavigate the globe for one whole year, broken off only by 18 stopovers.

This is not like any other yachting event because racing is definitely out of the picture. Skippers, crews, and their families will be sailing through some of the most spectacular places in the world at their own pace and leisure. This yachting event is mainly composed of yachtsmen from Downunder who are interested in joining the Blue Water Yacht Rally en route from the Pacific to the Mediterranean. The event is mainly family-oriented and sailing will be done at comfortable cruising speed. Participants to this event will leave Australia in August and are expected to make a stopover at Port Dickson in November this year. read more...
